A truly unique vehicle has captured the spotlight: a 2018 Cadillac ATS-V Sedan, draped in an elegant Black Raven exterior paired with an exquisite Kona Brown interior. This singular automobile, boasting fewer than 16,000 miles, is presently the subject of a bidding war, with the price reaching $70,000.

But this car isn’t just any luxury vehicle; it has a prestigious provenance, having once belonged to the President of the United States.

Indeed, Joe Biden, prior to his presidency, commissioned Cadillac to customize this vehicle to his specifications. It’s equipped with features like the luxurious Kona Brown interior, magnesium paddle shifters for a more tactile driving experience, 18-inch CT4-V Blackwing wheels for a striking appearance, and Rennick Performance exterior trim for an added touch of elegance.

President Biden is well-known for his passion for automobiles, a trait he proudly acknowledges. Growing up with a father who managed a car dealership, Biden has always been close to the automotive world. He once shared his enthusiasm with an audience at the Detroit Auto Show, declaring his love for cars as more than just a hobby; they represent optimism and, admittedly, a thrill for speed.

This remarkable ATS-V has made its way back to Wilmington Cadillac in Delaware, Biden’s home state, after being returned from its lease in March 2020. The dealership notes that as of February 15th, the auction for this piece of automotive and presidential history has six days left on Cars & Bids.

launched in 2016, the Cadillac ATS-V was Cadillac’s answer to the BMW M3 and other high-performance sedans, boasting a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 engine capable of delivering 464 horsepower. This power allows it to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds. It came equipped with high-end features, including the Luxury and Safety and Security packages, as well as Magnetic Ride Control. Available in both coupe and sedan models, the ATS-V’s production concluded with the 2019 model year.

The vehicle also features several dealer-reported modifications, such as 18-inch CT4-V Blackwing wheels in Tech Bronze, Rennick Performance enhancements to its front grille and rear bumper, a black emblem kit, and interior upgrades like a suede microfiber steering wheel and shift knob. Additionally, the windows have been tinted, although they do not include bulletproof glass.

The dealership that currently holds the Cadillac ATS-V acquired it four years ago and has since added approximately 3,700 miles to its odometer. It has undergone repairs for minor bumper damage and maintains a thorough service history, adding to its allure and narrative as a car with both a rich legacy and an exceptional driving experience.
