With an updated version of the Jeep Wrangler on the horizon, it’s only natural to expect a refreshed 2024 Jeep Gladiator as well. Although both off-roaders share many similarities, it was a pleasant surprise to witness Jeep openly showcasing the subtle facelift of the Gladiator during its public outings. Our photographer had the opportunity to capture detailed spy shots of this silver model spotted in a parking lot.
As a reminder from the unveiling of the 2024 Wrangler at the New York Auto Show, one of the prominent exterior updates is the introduction of a smaller rendition of the iconic seven-bar grille. This modification is clearly evident in these images, with the entire grille featuring a black finish, including the surround. Additionally, there are subtle alterations to the front bumper, particularly in terms of the body lines in the middle. Notable changes can also be seen in the turn signal lenses, while the rear showcases redesigned taillights.
Although the exterior of the vehicle is fully visible, the interior remains shrouded in secrecy. Our photographer managed to capture close-up shots revealing covers over the entire dashboard and the driver’s seat. This serves as confirmation that we are indeed looking at a preproduction model rather than a unique prototype. Although the details of the dashboard are concealed, it is highly likely that a larger center touchscreen is present underneath. The 2024 Wrangler was introduced with a spacious 12.3-inch landscape screen, necessitating significant redesigning of the dashboard to accommodate it.
The circular climate control vents have been replaced with smaller horizontal vents positioned below the screen, signifying a departure from the previous design. Additionally, on the passenger side, the noticeable grab handle has been repositioned to create a pleasing and symmetrical horizontal line along the bottom of the dashboard. Considering these interior updates seen in the Wrangler, it is reasonable to assume that similar changes might be implemented in the Gladiator as well. This could explain the presence of the substantial covers, hinting at the concealed interior details of the upcoming model.
As part of the refresh, it is expected that the latest Uconnect 5 system and the Trails Offroad digital guide will be incorporated, providing upgraded technology features. While the powertrain options are anticipated to remain unchanged, there is a possibility that the Gladiator might receive enhancements in terms of axle or suspension components.
Since the 2024 Wrangler has already been officially unveiled and this uncovered Gladiator has been spotted in public, it is highly likely that an official debut of the refreshed Gladiator will take place by the end of summer.
