Despite discontinuing production in the US in 2020, the 2024 Cadillac CT6 has made a comeback in China with a new generation. The 2024 CT6 features refreshed styling influenced by the Cadillac Escala Concept, elevated luxury, and advanced technology in its interior.

The official debut of the new CT6 took place today, providing us with detailed information on specifications and pricing. Prior to its unveiling, the CT6 had already been seen in photos from China’s MIIT since November 2022. The latest generation of the CT6 is built on an upgraded version of the GM Omega RWD platform, with similar dimensions to its predecessor. The 2024 Cadillac CT6 measures 5,223 mm (205.6 inches) in length and maintains a wheelbase of 3,109 mm (122.4 inches).

Drawing inspiration from the 2016 Cadillac Escala concept, the CT6 features aluminum bodywork with design elements that reflect this influence. The front end showcases a significant transformation, highlighted by a large grille accompanied by slim DRLs. The actual LED headlights, arranged vertically, are positioned on the bumper’s simulated intakes. The design approach embraces sleeker surfaces and an aerodynamic roofline, resulting in a recognizable rear end featuring slender L-shaped taillights, dual tailpipes, and an integrated spoiler on the tailgate.

Featuring a range of impressive attributes, the interior of the new CT6 captures attention. Notably, it includes a remarkable standard feature – a 33-inch curved display. With a stunning 9K resolution and the ability to display a vast spectrum of 1 billion colors, this advanced display stands out. Powered by the 8155 Qualcomm chip and equipped with 5G connectivity, it enables seamless access to an array of features and services.

The new CT6 showcases several notable elements in its cabin. One standout feature is the standard 33-inch curved display, boasting an impressive 9K resolution and the ability to exhibit a wide range of 1 billion colors. The cabin of the CT6 exudes a luxurious ambiance reminiscent of yachts, with Fina Nappa leather upholstery adding to the upscale feel. The use of high-quality materials, such as cork wood veneer, enhances the refined aesthetics of the interior. Notable details include the crystal diamond knob and the customizable 26-color ambient lighting, enabling drivers to personalize the vehicle’s atmosphere to their liking.

The CT6 offers a “multi-functional American-style large sofa” for its rear seats, equipped with heating and ventilation. The in-car experience is enhanced by the AKG 19-speaker audio system, ensuring exceptional sound quality, and a noise cancellation system for quiet conversations on the go. Additionally, the optional Super Cruise ADAS suite provides advanced semi-autonomous capabilities. Customization options include a variety of colors such as Alaska White, Obsidian Black, Crystal Gray, Manhattan Gray, and Interstellar Blue. The 2024 Cadillac CT6 retains its non-electrified turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, delivering 233 hp. It is manufactured in China through the SAIC-GM joint venture and sends power exclusively to the rear wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission. Notable enhancements include the upgraded 4.0 version of the MRC magnetic suspension, Brembo brakes with four-piston calipers, and pricing in China starting from ¥359,700 ($50,830) up to ¥469,700 ($66,374) depending on the trim level.
