A tragic collision in Rome unfolded when a rented Lamborghini Urus, allegedly partaking in the filming of a YouTube challenge, collided head-on with a Smart ForFour, resulting in the death of a five-year-old boy and injuries to his mother and sister. Reports suggest that Matteo Di Pietro, an Italian social media influencer, was driving the Urus and engaged in a stunt at the time of the devastating accident. Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
As per the authorities, Di Pietro was among a group of five young men who were present in the blue Urus during the collision. The group had embarked on a social media challenge that involved spending 50 continuous hours inside the Lamborghini SUV, with potential prizes for successful completion. However, the devastating accident has caused a shift in focus, and all five individuals are now under investigation by the police.
According to reports, Di Pietro allegedly engaged in reckless behavior, including speeding and attempting to overtake other vehicles, while taunting other drivers on the road. Tragically, his actions resulted in a head-on collision with a car carrying a 5-year-old boy, his 4-year-old sister, and their 35-year-old mother. Regrettably, the young boy lost his life at the scene, while his sister and mother were immediately transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. The current condition of the injured individuals remains unknown at this time.
