Big news for electric vehicle fans in the region — Tesla has just made its boldest move yet. The American EV pioneer announced on Friday, through its official X (formerly Twitter) account, that the long-awaited Cybertruck is finally coming to the Middle East.
Reservations are now officially open in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar, marking the truck’s first step beyond North America.
The announcement came from Tesla Europe & Middle East, which shared a post saying:
“Cybertruck is now available in the Middle East. Get your vehicle ready and place your order in the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.”
Images on Tesla’s official website show the Cybertruck’s order page, complete with specs and pricing details — a clear sign that deliveries in the region could be just around the corner.
This launch signals a major expansion for Tesla, as the company looks to strengthen its global presence amid growing competition and slowing demand in its main markets — the United States and China.
Even with its strong brand power, Tesla faces serious challengers. In China, BYD and Zeekr continue to dominate the EV race, while in the U.S., Lucid Motors is pushing hard to capture more of the premium electric segment.
According to the German Press Agency (dpa), Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE will be the first international markets outside North America to receive the Cybertruck — a milestone that highlights how quickly the Middle East is becoming a key player in the global EV scene.
This announcement also follows Tesla’s record third-quarter deliveries this year. Still, Chinese automaker BYD managed to stay ahead, holding onto its title as the world’s top electric car producer for the fourth year in a row.
Tesla shipped about 497,000 vehicles in the last quarter alone, but total sales for the first nine months of 2025 slipped by around 6% compared to the same period in 2024.
And there’s another headwind on the horizon — in the U.S., the expiration of the $7,500 federal EV tax credit at the end of September could slightly cool demand, especially for first-time electric buyers.
Still, with the Cybertruck’s arrival in the Middle East, Tesla is clearly betting on a market that loves innovation, design, and performance — and where futuristic vehicles like this have every chance to shine.
