Today, we will talk for the first time about the upcoming Mercedes AMG GT 73e, which will be a new member joining the Mercedes AMG GT family after the 2021 AMG GT Black Series, which officially appeared last July to represent the high-performance version of this model.
Today we got an unofficial spy video of the upcoming version of the Mercedes AMG GT 4-Door, while it was running speed tests on the Nürburgring circuit in Germany, the home of Mercedes-Benz cars.
After the official unveiling of the facelifted 2021 Porsche Panamera was revealed, it seems that there is a hybrid version coming from its rival, Mercedes AMG GT 4-Door Coupe, and for those who do not remember, our colleague Suhaib Shashaa has already test-driven Mercedes AMG GT 63 S 4Matic 4-Door Coupe, and he said back then that he believes this car to be one of the most powerful and fastest GLE Coupe in the world.

As indicated by the unofficial reports leaked on the motor1 website, the AMG GT 73e will depend on a hybrid system that combines a twin-turbo 4-liter V-shaped 8-cylinder petrol engine, with an electric motor, bringing the total power of both engines to 800 hp. This is a huge jump in output compared to the horsepower provided by the V8 gasoline engine in the GT 63 S, which produces 630 hp and 900 Nm of torque.
Our team at Arab GT suggests that this new high-performance Mercedes-Benz hybrid will try to break the 2021 Panamera’s record at the Nürburgring of 7: 29.81 minutes.
It seems that Mercedes-Benz is focusing on its electrified cars and we’ll be seeing more and more of these vehicles in the German Automaker lineup. For now, and after we saw the Mercedes EQC , which is the first vehicle from the new EQ division of electric vehicles, we are waiting for the production Mercedes EQS and other new cars.
