The Upcoming Mercedes EQA Spied In Its Home Country Germany

A camouflaged prototype of the all-new Mercedes EQA that will debut next year, has appeared now on public streets of its home country, Germany.

Before we get to the camouflaged EQA, we would like to remind you that the German Carmaker Mercedes-Benz has already officially announced that the current year 2020 will witness the launch of the new 2021 S-Class in the all-new generation W223, and the all-new EQA, the new electric car we are talking about in this article.

As you might already know, the new Mercedes-Benz EQ division that produces battery electric vehicles will produce many new models, after it introduced the 2020 EQC  which we previously test-drove.  It appears that the new Mercedes EQA will be the second car this division makes before they produce EQS, which the fully electric version of  Mercedes S Class.

This is the spy video showing the new 2021 EQA :

This new video shows a good part of the front of the new 2021 EQA, which will represent an electric crossover class smaller than the current EQC, and this Mercedes electric car is supposed to ride on MFA II platform, which will also be used by the 2021 GLA. It is likely that the design of this car will derive a lot from the shape of the 2020 Mercedes EQC, with touches derived from its concept version that appeared at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2017.

Mechanically, this car is likely to be powered by two electric motors, which produce 270 horsepower and 500 Newton meters of torque, obtained through 60 kW lithium-ion batteries, and it is assumed that the upcoming new Mercedes EQA can reach a speed of 96 Km / h (60 mph) within five seconds, and it will operate with all-wheel drive.
