Today, dear Arab GT followers, we will present new information about Mustang Mach-E Shelby, and we will be discussing the possibility of witnessing the launch of such a car for real in the near future.
In addition, for those who do not remember, we witnessed in November of 2019 the launch of the new Ford Mustang Mach E, which represents a new class of electric cars provided by the American company Ford. The new vehicle comes as a response to the high demand for crossovers, and the focus carmakers put on the production of Electric cars. It also represents the evolution of the American muscle car Mustang into a completely new class.
Now, let us go back and talk about the possibility of introducing a new fully electric Shelby vehicle, knowing that until now, all Shelby cars are powered by gasoline engines, and there isn’t even a hybrid version of this high-performance car. So will Ford actually do it and jump from V8 engines to electric motors?

In an interview, Ford Performance chief program engineer Ed Krenz said: ‘I’m looking forward to the challenge of applying the Shelby characteristics to an electric car. The trick for us is the fun-to-drive part, and sustainability in terms of charging. It needs to be capable to go all day on a track-day – you can’t do 20 minutes and then have to charge it all night.’
Until now, there’s no confirmation or denial from Ford regarding the Shelby version of Ford Mustang Mach E. but even if it was confirmed, we’d have to wait for several years before we see the real car on the streets, since the regular Mustang Mach-E isn’t arriving until the next year 2021.
