As we can see in the pictures of this luxury sedan, the exterior updates it got are derived from its big sister, the 2021 Genesis G80, and they included an updated front grille surrounded by Quad Lamps, featuring super-thin LED lamps which stretch outward like the wings of the Genesis and the 2022 G70 2 also got new rims. At the rear, the Korean car got new Quad Lamp taillights with dual exhaust tips and a body-colored diffuser.

The interior of the new 2022 Genesis got a 10.25-inch screen instead of the old 8-inch screen for the infotainment system that supports air navigation and got a wireless charger for smartphones. Anew windshield and front door acoustic glass have been added to enhance interior quietness.

Initial official information about the mechanics of the 2022 Genesis G70 sold in the U.S. market indicates that it will get a 4-cylinder, 2.5-liter turbo engine, as an alternative to the current two-liter engine. The new produces 290 hp and 420 Newton meters of torque, an increase of 38 hp and 67 Nm of torque, compared t the previous model. In the Korean market, however, the car will retain the same engines.
