Today we are going to introduce the new facelifted 2021 VW Tiguan which has been officially unveiled online by the German company Volkswagen.
This is a facelift of the second generation of the compact luxury crossover that competes with Toyota RAV4, Honda CRV, Mazda CX5, Chevrolet Equinox, Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage, and Nissan X-Trail.
First, we will talk about external changes to the 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan, the German car got a new fascia that includes an all-new grille with newly designed headlights derived from golf cars in its eighth generation, and without a doubt, there is a new front bumper with a sporty identity that includes larger vents.
In the back, there were fewer updates but we can see new lights and a new bumper, the word TIGUAN was centered below the VW emblem, while the 4Motion logo was added to the right side. The new 2021 VW Tiguan was fitted with new rims.

Upon entering into the interior of the new Tiguan, we notice slight updates that include a new steering wheel and new parts that are controlled by touch. The higher trim-levels of this model also got a developed climate control system. Tiguan was also equipped with a new infotainment system that supports smartphones, in addition to a wireless charger, and there is a standard 8-inch digital cockpit display. The updates also included an ambient lighting system with 15 options of colors, and a sound system can be requested from Fender 480W.
- The base version is powered by a 2-liter 4-cylinder engine generating 184 hp (187 PS) and 299 Newton meters of torque connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission, and this German car comes optional with all-wheel drive.
- The top performance version of the new Tiguan R comes with 316 hp (320 PS)
- Tiguan Plug-in Hybrid, which uses a hybrid system that combines a gasoline engine with an electric motor, has a total power of 242 hp (245 PS).
