Whether we like it or not, carmakers around the world have all agreed on going towards producing all-electric cars. Maybe drivers will not hear any sounds coming from their cars beating heart, but we can assure you that these cars are fast!
The beginning of Chevrolet Bolt goes back to 2016 when the production version of the Chevrolet Bolt was unveiled as a 2017 model at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, in January 2016.
But before that, GM Korea had begun developing the Bolt in 2012 with a team of 180 people, and as of June 2015, General Motors had tested more than 50 Bolt prototypes at the proving grounds and overseas locations.

The exterior design of Chevrolet Bolt might look like it was based on Chevrolet Spark and Chevrolet Sonic designs, but this car was built on its own platform.
The power train of Chevrolet bolt consists of a 204 hp and 36 Nm Interior Permanent Magnet electric motor, powered by a 66.0 kWh lithium-ion 288 cell battery. With its single-speed transmission, the 1,616 kg electric vehicle can go from zero to 100 km/h in 7.3s and it can reach a top speed of 146 km/h.
With a full battery, the 2020 Chevrolet Bolt has a certified range of 520 km, and the available DC Fast Charging offers about 100 miles of range in around 30 minutes of charge time and is available for public use.
