Today we got new information about the fastest McLaren car in history so far, the 2020 McLaren Speedtail which won this title after it reached this speed in reality!
Before talking about the new details, we would like to remind you of our teams test-drive of the 2020 McLaren GT, which was driven by our colleague Suhaib Shashaa in Cannes, France, in an episode of Special Coverage program.
Today we had new details indicating that the top speed of the all-new 2020 McLaren Speedtail is 403 km / h (250 mph). Which makes it even faster than the legendary Mclaren F1 with a top speed of 386.4 km / h (240.1 mph). Thus the new car was named the fastest McLaren in history so far.
Here is a selection of photos of the new McLaren Speedtail 2020:
According to our information, McLaren Chief Test Driver Kenny Brack was able to reach this incredible speeding a Speedtail prototype, and he reached the top speed in 30 seconds over a 3-mile distance.
Just as a reminder, these are the mechanical specifications of the McLaren Speedtail 2020, which has become the fastest McLaren in terms of top speed:
This British supercar is equipped with a hybrid system that combines a Twin-Turbo 4-liter 8-cylinder petrol engine generating 800 hp and an electric motor that we don’t have any information about at this moment. But the company says that the gasoline and electric engines together produce a power of 1,035 hp (1,050 PS) and 1,150 Nm of torque.
The supercar can also reach a speed of 300 km / h (186 mph) in less than 13 seconds (12.8 seconds), and it accelerates from 0 to 96 km / h (60 mph) in 2.5 seconds.
Only 106 copies will be produced of the fastest McLaren ever, and the price of McLaren Speedtail will start from $ 2,240,000, equivalent to 8,400,000 SAR.
