2026 Kia EV4

Kia continues its electric revolution with the all-new 2026 Kia EV4, a sleek addition to its growing EV lineup. Slotting in as the fifth model in Kia’s dedicated “EV” family, the EV4 arrives as both a sedan and a hatchback, positioning itself in the same segment as the Tesla Model 3. First revealed in February 2025, this futuristic model represents Kia’s bold step toward reshaping the compact electric sedan market with a mix of cutting-edge design, advanced technology, and impressive range.

Exterior Design

The EV4 showcases Kia’s latest design philosophy, defined by sharp lines, sculpted surfaces, and futuristic lighting elements that give it a commanding presence. Aerodynamics play a central role in its styling, with a smooth underbody and the absence of traditional air intakes helping maximize efficiency and minimize noise.

Buyers can choose between two body styles:

  • Sedan with a 490-liter trunk.

  • Hatchback with a 435-liter trunk.

Wheel sizes range from 17 inches on standard trims to 19 inches on higher variants, while the GT-Line model adds sportier bumpers and exclusive 19-inch wheels, underlining its athletic character.

2026 KIA EV4 Interior

Step inside the EV4, and you’re greeted by a cabin that feels far more spacious than its compact classification suggests. Clever packaging ensures generous headroom and legroom, even for rear passengers. Premium materials elevate the atmosphere, with four available color schemes — including a striking black-and-white combination exclusive to the GT-Line.

Technology takes center stage, with connected dual screens, a Harman Kardon audio system, modern climate vents, and multiple USB-C charging ports. In a thoughtful touch, Kia has even reimagined the rear headrests, drawing inspiration from ergonomic office chairs to enhance passenger comfort during long drives.

Specifications

The Kia EV4 offers buyers a choice between two battery configurations:

  • Standard Range with a 58.3 kWh battery.

  • Long Range with a larger 81.4 kWh battery.

Range figures are impressive for the class:

  • Sedan Standard Range: 430 km

  • Sedan Long Range: 630 km

  • Hatchback Standard Range: 410 km

  • Hatchback Long Range: 590 km

Interestingly, the lighter Standard Range model is actually quicker, sprinting from 0–100 km/h in 7.4 seconds, compared to 7.7 seconds for the Long Range. Both versions have a top speed electronically limited to 170 km/h.

Charging is another strength:

  • Fast DC charging: 10–80% in 29 minutes (small battery) or 31 minutes (large battery).

  • AC home charging: Around 5h20m for the small pack and 7h15m for the larger pack.

On the road, the EV4 shines with remarkable quietness and stability, thanks to its low-mounted battery pack ensuring a planted feel in corners. Drivers can enjoy the convenience of one-pedal driving, while advanced driver assistance systems — including Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Warning, and 360° cameras — reinforce safety and comfort.
