2025 Kia Tasman ; Kia enters the world of pickup trucks with the 2025 Kia Tasman, its first-ever production model in this category. Unveiled globally at the 2024 Jeddah International Motor Show and simultaneously launched in Tasmania—one of the most competitive pickup markets—the Tasman is a bold move into mid-size truck territory. Developed over four years with 18,000 real-world tests, it blends rugged capability with cutting-edge design, aimed at redefining expectations in this class.

Exterior Design


The Kia Tasman presents a confident and muscular appearance, available in both Single Cab and Double Cab body styles. With a strong off-road posture, the X Pro variant features a 33-degree departure angle and 252 mm of ground clearance, riding on 17-inch Continental All Terrain tires. Nature-inspired paint colors add character, while practical features like side steps and remote-controlled parking enhance daily usability. The grille, badging, and trim elements are finished in unique accents for a more adventurous and premium look, and the triple-camera rear system provides all-around visibility and safety support.

Kia Tasman Interior 


Inside the Tasman, the cabin delivers a surprising level of refinement for a pickup. It includes two 12.3-inch displays—one for the digital cluster and the other for infotainment—separated by a 5-inch climate control screen. Essential physical controls remain for key functions, offering flexibility between tactile and digital interfaces. The steering wheel features a distinctive shape with integrated paddle shifters and a column-mounted gear selector. Materials throughout the cabin are chosen for durability and ease of cleaning, making the interior well-suited for work environments. Smart storage solutions are integrated throughout, and dual wireless phone chargers offer added convenience. Rear seats come equipped with ISOFIX mounts, making the Tasman a viable option for families. The payload capacity reaches up to 1,145 kg, supported by a rear cargo volume of 1,173 liters, reflecting the truck’s balance between comfort and utility. A premium Harman Kardon sound system adds a luxury touch to the otherwise functional layout.

Mechanical Specifications


The 2025 Tasman offers two engine options depending on market. The gasoline-powered variant uses a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 281 hp and 421 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. A diesel alternative is also available—a 2.2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit generating 210 hp and 441 Nm of torque. A 75-liter fuel tank supports long-distance travel, while the vehicle’s structure and tuning have been optimized through thousands of real-world trials. With a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 kg, the Tasman is engineered for both demanding work and off-road capability.
