2025 Ford Everest Review

2025 Ford Everest (14)

In a world full of strong contenders, Ford is stepping back into the spotlight with the 2025 Ford Everest — a mid-size SUV that doesn’t just promise toughness, but also delivers family comfort and everyday practicality. Since its debut in 2003, the Everest has been Ford’s rugged response to popular models like the Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. Now in its third generation, revealed globally in 2022, it returns with more confidence than ever, blending the DNA of the Ford Ranger and Bronco with the refinement, technology, and space today’s families demand.

Exterior Design

The Everest wears its heritage proudly, carrying Ford’s “Built Ford Tough” spirit in every detail. Its wide stance, bold proportions, and confident presence immediately set it apart. Up front, a large, imposing grille is framed by Ford’s signature C-shaped LED headlights, a design cue shared with its Ranger and F-150 siblings.

Each trim level has its own personality:

  • XLS and XLT: Black grille surrounds and 18-inch alloys give them a practical, no-nonsense look.

  • Limited: Chrome accents on the grille, door handles, and mirrors add a premium shine, while larger 21-inch wheels elevate its presence.

This SUV isn’t just about looks—it’s built for adventure. With 229 mm of ground clearance and the ability to wade through 800 mm of water, the Everest is ready to leave the tarmac behind. All versions come with all-terrain tires, reinforcing its dual role as a dependable city car and a capable off-road explorer. A charming detail is found in the rear window graphics: one side features skyscrapers, the other mountains—a subtle nod to the Everest’s balance between urban sophistication and wilderness spirit.

2025 Ford Everest Interior

Step inside, and the Everest reveals another side of its character: a cabin that blends toughness with refinement. The seven-seat layout is spacious and versatile, offering generous legroom even in the third row. Overhead air vents ensure that every passenger, no matter where they sit, stays cool and comfortable.

Technology takes center stage with a massive vertical touchscreen—10 inches in the XLS, and an impressive 12 inches in higher trims—powered by Ford’s latest SYNC 4 infotainment system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, paired with a fully digital 8-inch driver display for a thoroughly modern feel.

For those who choose the Limited trim, luxury takes another step forward. Features include:

  • Plush leather upholstery and soft-touch materials.

  • A premium 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.

  • A panoramic sunroof that floods the cabin with light.

  • Wireless smartphone charging.

  • Power-folding third-row seats for added convenience.

It’s a well-thought-out interior, though Ford could have made it even better by including remote start and ventilated seats—both particularly valuable in the hot Middle Eastern climate.

Mechanical Specifications

Under the hood, the Middle Eastern-spec Everest comes with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder engine, an engine already proven in several Ford models. It produces 296 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission. On the road, this setup delivers a confident mix of performance and efficiency.

But the Everest’s real strength is revealed when the pavement ends. Its selectable four-wheel-drive system gives drivers flexibility: fuel-saving rear-wheel drive for the city, and easy switching to 4H or 4L for off-road challenges. Add to this the Terrain Management System with six driving modes—Normal, Eco, Tow/Haul, Slippery, Mud, and Sand—and the Everest adapts effortlessly to whatever lies ahead. A rear locking differential provides extra grip for the toughest conditions.

Despite its size and capability, the Everest maintains reasonable fuel efficiency, averaging 7.2 liters per 100 km. Combined with a large 80-liter fuel tank, it’s well-suited for long adventures without frequent stops.
