2025 Ferrari 12Cilindri

The 2025 Ferrari 12Cilindri is Ferrari’s latest grand tourer, replacing the Ferrari 812 Superfast. As a high-performance sports GT car, it perfectly balances exhilarating driving dynamics with everyday usability. This two-seater front mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive supercar was unveiled by Ferrari in mid-2025, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of Ferrari’s presence in the American market. What sets this model apart is its naturally aspirated V12 engine—a rarity in today’s automotive world. Its Italian name, “Dodici Cilindri,” translates to “V12,” emphasizing the beating heart that powers this exceptional machine.

Design and Exterior

The Ferrari 12Cilindri boasts a distinctive design identity, setting it apart from other Ferrari models. Its inspiration comes from classic Ferrari cars of the 1960s and 1970s, but with a modern, futuristic twist. The car sits on 21-inch aluminum rims, a single piece construction, offering lightweight strength. Behind these wheels are high-performance carbon ceramic brakes, with 398 mm discs and 6-piston calipers in the front, and 360 mm discs with 4-piston calipers at the rear.

Carbon fiber is a key material in the 12Cilindri’s design, featuring in components such as the side mirrors, side skirts, and roof, contributing to both aesthetics and performance. At the rear, the car features an intricately designed wing system that opens automatically in three stages to optimize aerodynamics. It also has a large air diffuser and four rectangular exhaust outlets, two on each side, that enhance both its aggressive look and sound.

Customers can choose between two tire options for this model: high-performance Goodyear tires designed specifically for the 12Cilindri or Michelin’s high-performance alternatives.

The car’s dimensions further highlight its grand touring credentials:

  • Length: 4,730 mm
  • Width: 2,176 mm
  • Height: 1,290 mm
  • Wheelbase: 2,700 mm
  • Trunk capacity: 270 liters

Powertrain and Mechanical Specifications

At the core of the Ferrari 12Cilindri is its naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine. This powerful unit is derived from the Ferrari 812 Competizione but has been re-engineered to produce 819 hp (830 European PS) and 678 Nm of torque. Paired with a new 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, this engine ensures the 12Cilindri delivers the kind of performance Ferrari enthusiasts expect.

This rear-wheel-drive GT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, and from 0 to 200 km/h in 7.9 seconds. The top speed exceeds 340 km/h, making it one of the fastest grand tourers in the world. Despite its high performance, the Ferrari 12Cilindri weighs 1,560 kg without fluids, 35 kg more than the Ferrari 812 Superfast. However, it maintains an ideal weight distribution, with 49% over the front axle and 51% over the rear.

2025 Ferrari 12Cilindri Interior

Inside, the Ferrari 12Cilindri offers an advanced, driver-focused environment. The car features a 15.6-inch digital instrument cluster that integrates all car settings without touch controls. In the center, a 10.25-inch touchscreen provides access to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making it one of Ferrari’s most technologically advanced interfaces. A third 8.8-inch display is positioned in front of the passenger, offering additional control and information.

This is Ferrari’s first GT model to completely do away with analog gauges, reflecting its commitment to modern design and innovation. For the first time in a Ferrari sports car, a massage function is available on the seats, a feature previously reserved for Ferrari’s larger models like the Purosangue. The seats are also equipped with both heating and cooling options, adding to the luxurious feel of the interior.
