The Suzuki Baleno is a well-established subcompact hatchback manufactured in India by the Japanese automaker Suzuki since September 2015. The second-generation Baleno was launched on February 23, 2022, under the marketing name “New Age Baleno,” marking a comprehensive update to the model.
Exterior
The New Age Baleno measures 3,990 mm in length, 1,745 mm in width, and 1,500 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,520 mm. While it retains the platform of the previous model, the exterior has undergone significant revisions. It now features new body panels, redesigned headlights, LED fog lights, and updated tail lights. The C-pillar window has been made smaller, complementing the refreshed design. The 16-inch alloy wheels add a touch of sophistication, while a chrome grille gives the car a more prominent and confident appearance. The Baleno is powered by a 1.5-liter engine delivering 103 horsepower and a maximum torque of 138 Nm. It features a front-wheel-drive (FWD) configuration and achieves a fuel efficiency of 19.0 KMPL. The fuel tank has a capacity of 37 liters. Suzuki has also improved the car’s handling, equipping it with an all-new suspension system, a hydraulic clutch, and larger front disc brakes for enhanced stopping power.
