This is the second time our team test-drive the all-new 2020 Hyundai Sonata, dear Arab GT followers. as we test-drove the car last year in an episode of Special Coverage program.

This Korean sedan comes with a revolutionary and new exterior design that is inspired by its sibling; Hyundai Le Ville Rouge concept which appeared in 2018. It also depends on an entirely new chassis which contributed to increasing the length and width of the car and while its height was lowered.

Engine options available on the new 2020 Sonata :

  • A naturally aspirated 2.5 liter 4-cylinder MPi engine that generates the power of 180 hp and 232 Newton meters of torque that is connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The car equipped with this engine was test driven by our colleague Karim Deeb in today’s episode, and it accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 9 seconds, reaching a top speed of 210 km /h,.
  • A 2.5-liter four-cylinder GDI engine that generates 191 hp and 245 Newton meters of torque (available in other markets).
  • A turbocharged 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine with 180 hp and 265 Newton meters of torque.

In UAE market, the price of The 2020 Eighth-Generation Hyundai Sonata starts from 23,650 USD, equivalent to 86,940 AED or 88,780 SAR and it can reach 33,680 USD, which is equivalent to 123,690 AED or 126,300 SAR.
