A fresh set of images has been released, showcasing the highly anticipated 2026 Bugatti Tourbillon. This time, the hypercar made its debut in East Asia, marking a significant milestone in its world tour. Deliveries are set to begin in 2026, with a starting price of approximately $4.6 million (17,250,000 Saudi riyals).
The Tourbillon, Bugatti’s successor to the legendary Chiron and Veyron, features a groundbreaking powertrain. It is equipped with an 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V16 engine, supported by three electric motors, producing a combined total of 1,775 horsepower. This hybrid setup represents a departure from the previous W16 platform, reflecting Bugatti’s commitment to innovation under the leadership of Mate Rimac.
Following its appearances in the United States, Doha, and the UAE — where the Arab GT team had the chance to see it — the Bugatti Tourbillon made its way to Japan and Singapore. These stops allowed customers, media, and fans to experience the hypercar up close, building anticipation for its 2026 release.
Bugatti’s approach to designing the Tourbillon involved starting from scratch, moving away from the Chiron’s platform and engine. This decision, led by Mate Rimac after Rimac’s acquisition of Bugatti, resulted in a hypercar that is both innovative and distinctive. The new platform and the Cosworth-developed V16 engine set the Tourbillon apart in the hypercar segment.
The design of the Tourbillon is a striking evolution, yet unmistakably a Bugatti. The dramatic curves and flowing lines are enhanced by the cultural and architectural backdrops of East Asia, such as Japan’s Kashihara Kingu Shrine and the historic Abuden Miso building from 1868. Christophe Piochon, President of Bugatti, emphasized Japan’s deep connection with the brand, highlighting that with over 25 Bugatti models on Japanese roads, the country plays a significant role in Bugatti’s legacy. Japanese collectors, known for their refined tastes, regard Bugatti cars as more than just vehicles — they are works of art.
Mechanical Specifications
The 2026 Bugatti Tourbillon’s hybrid system is an engineering marvel. The centerpiece is a naturally aspirated 8.3-liter V16 engine delivering 986 horsepower (1,000 PS) and 900 Nm of torque. Complementing this are three electric motors — two on the front axle and one on the rear — adding another 789 horsepower (800 PS). Combined, the system generates an impressive 1,775 horsepower (1,800 PS).
This immense power translates into blistering performance figures. The Tourbillon accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2 seconds, reaches 200 km/h in 5 seconds, and hits 300 km/h in 10 seconds. It achieves 400 km/h in under 25 seconds and has a top speed of 444 km/h.
The price reflects its exclusivity and innovation, costing the equivalent of a Bugatti Chiron plus half. For context, the Chiron’s starting price was $3 million when it launched.
With its groundbreaking design, innovative powertrain, and jaw-dropping performance, the 2026 Bugatti Tourbillon is set to redefine the hypercar experience, continuing Bugatti’s legacy of excellence into a new era.
