The Bavarian BMW company has previously confirmed that it will present a fully electric version of its large-sized 7-series sedan, which will be called 2023 BMW i7. The car is coming to compete specifically with the production version of the Mercedes EQS, God willing.
Today, we will talk about some leaks published on “Car” website related to the mechanics of the large German sedan that the Bavarian BMW will launch next year according to expectations, along with its two all-electric sisters; i4 and iNext.
For those who do not remember the 2022 BMW iX is the newest electric car produced by the Bavarian manufacturer, and it was officially unveiled this November, which is nearing its end.
The unofficial leaked details expect that the new 2023 BMW i7 will rely on a 100 kW battery, which will enable this upcoming electric vehicle to travel a distance of more than 483 km (300 miles) on a single electrical charge.
The report also added that this new car will rely on two electric motors that produce 536 hp (399 kW) of total power, delivered to the four wheels, in contrast to previous information suggesting that the next i7 would have 650 hp (484 kW), which is more powerful than the BMW M760i that is powered by a V12 engine and is considered the most powerful version of the BMW 7 Series.
The i7 is likely to be launched during the year 2022 as a 2023 model, and it is likely that the production version of its rival, the 2022 Mercedes EQS, will appear before it, since the development and testing process of Mercedes electric car has reached more advanced stages.
As soon as we get official information about the all-new 2023 BMW i7, we will provide them immediately, God willing.
