The New Hosts of The Grand Tour Following Clarkson, Hammond, and May

he Grand Tour is officially entering a new phase. After years defined by the unmistakable chemistry of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May, Amazon has confirmed the presenters who will guide the show into its next chapter.

Taking over are YouTube creators Thomas Holland and James Engelsman, best known for their Throttle House channel, joined by social media personality and well-known train enthusiast Francis Bourgeois.

The change follows the show’s emotional farewell episode in September 2024, which closed the door on an era built on long road trips, unscripted moments, and a very specific sense of humor that shaped modern motoring television.

The series is set to return in 2026 on Prime Video, keeping the familiar Grand Tour structure while introducing a very different on-screen dynamic. Holland and Engelsman bring years of hands-on car content and sharp reviews, while Bourgeois adds a personality shaped by internet culture and a genuine love for transport in all its forms.

In a short video shared on the show’s official Instagram account, Clarkson was seen reviewing applications from potential replacements. After jokingly dismissing one résumé—belonging to James May—he signed off on the new trio. Holland was labeled “the funny one,” Bourgeois “the train guy from the internet,” and Engelsman someone who once reviewed a car “using sarcasm alone,” before Clarkson summed it up simply: they felt right for the job.

The upcoming season will feature six episodes and will stay true to what fans expect. According to Variety, filming will take the team to the deserts of Angola, into Malaysia’s car culture, and onto California roads for performance-focused segments with American muscle cars.

Amazon’s choice also points to a younger audience. Throttle House reaches around 3.35 million subscribers on YouTube, while Bourgeois commands millions more across Instagram and TikTok—an audience that grew up online rather than on traditional television.

This relaunch marks the seventh season of The Grand Tour, which will stream globally in more than 240 countries and territories. Production is handled by Studio Lambert, the team behind The Traitors and Squid Game: The Challenge.
