Is it possible for the electric i4 to be more powerful than the all-new 2021 BMW M4? This is what we will talk about in this article according to the latest informal News leaks.
As you remember, last March saw the online-launch of the BMW i4 electric car as a concept, paving the way for a fully electric version of the BMW 4 Series.
This is a couple of images of the BMW i4 concept:
Today we will talk about new information published by the Autocar website indicating that the upcoming BMW E4 electric production will be the most powerful BMW 4 Series ever, which means that the power of the i4 will be even higher than the power of the upcoming 2021 BMW M4.
We have already told you when the BMW i4 Concept was launched that it mechanically depends on a single electric motor that derives its energy from an 80 kW battery, which generates 523 horsepower, (equivalent to 530 PS) and 813 Nm of torque, and that the electric test car accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4 seconds, while its top speed is 200 km / h, and it appears that the same powertrain will be used on the production car.
We all agree that the BMW i4 will be more powerful than the current 2020 M3 and M4, but it seems that the power of the i4 will be greater than the power of the upcoming 2021 M4, which will likely be powered by a Twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine that generates 503 hp (510 PS). This means it could be 20 hp less powerful than BMW i4.
In addition, the BMW i4 can travel up to 434 km (EPA ) or 600 km (WLTP) per one electric charge.
As soon as we have confirmed official information about the power of the BMW i4 and the 2021 M4, we will provide it to you immediately, God willing.
