Despite Coronavirus Outbreak, A New 2021 Maybach Unveiled For China

Despite the global concerns over coronavirus outbreak, which started from Wuhan the capital of Hubei province, People’s Republic of China., the German automaker Mercedes-Benz announced that it is offering a special version of the new 2021 Maybach that will be sold in the Chinese market specifically.

The star of this article is a special version of the Mercedes Maybach S450 4Matic, which is based on the Mercedes Maybach S Class, and the first collection of photos of this exclusive model has been published online.

Just as a reminder, China is considered the largest car market in the world according to the latest statistics, followed by the American market, which comes second in car sales volume. So it was not a surprise that Mercedes targeted the Chinese market

On the other hand, no one can predict what would happen after the financial crisis that might be caused by the global outbreak of coronavirus. Under normal conditions, the Chinese are more interested in buying very luxurious cars, and  Mercedes-Benz had previously announced that it recorded the best sales figures of  S-Class Maybach cars in this market.

The 2021 Maybach Pictures :

This new version dedicated for the Chinese market is called Collector’s Edition and is based on the Mercedes Maybach S450 4Matic.

This means that it is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3-liter 6-cylinder engine working alongside a 48-volt mild-hybrid system to generate a total power of  367 hp and 500 Newton meters of torque. The engine is connected to a 9-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels of the large luxury sedan.

The price for this 2021 Maybach starts from 1,458,800 RMB, equivalent to 205,586 USD, or 770,947 SAR.
