Can The Most Important 2021 Kia Cars Drive Themselves?

The all-new 2021 Kia K5 GT-Line underwent the first test drive of our ArabGT team, and today’s episode will be distinctive and different as it will include answering questions posed by our Instagram page followers about this new sedan car, which changed its name to K5 instead of Optima in all global markets.

Today’s episode will have 3 presenters: Suhaib Shashaa, Karim Deeb, and Amr Al-Qudah and they will be riding the newest of 2021 Kia cars, spending a normal day in their lives and at the same time unveiling the specifications of the all-new K5 in its fully-loaded version.

At the beginning of the test-drive, they tested the interactive cruise control that works with a front radar and controls the distance between the car and the vehicles in front of it, in addition to that this system provides steering control without any driver intervention, thanks to the semi-autonomous driving systems.

The car is also equipped with a lane-keeping system, a set of sensors, cameras, and a blind-spot warning system in order to be able to drive itself for a period of time along the main streets that do not include turns.

Engine options available on the new Kia K5 cars in the Middle East markets:

  • a 4-cylinder 2-liter MPI engine that produces 152 hp and 192 Nm of torque.
  • A 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder GDI engine that generates 194 hp and 246 Nm of torque available on the fully-loaded trim level, the Kia K5 GT Line that we test-drove in today’s episode.

The price of the 2021 Kia K5  in the UAE starts from 20,100 US dollars, equivalent to 73,900 AED or 75,450 Saudi riyals, and the price of the GT Line version in the UAE is 33,750 US dollars, equivalent to 123,900 AED or 126 500 Saudi riyals.
