Dodge is preparing to excite muscle car enthusiasts once again after releasing a teaser video that strongly hints at the return of one of its most iconic performance models: the Dodge Charger Super Bee.
The high-performance model is set to arrive as part of the 60th anniversary celebration of the Charger nameplate, which dates back to 1964. Dodge has confirmed that the official reveal will take place on August 7, just before the annual Roadkill Nights event.

Black and Yellow Teasers Point to the Super Bee’s Return
Although Dodge has yet to reveal the car in full, the teaser video features a drag racing Christmas tree surrounded by swarms of bees before ending with the phrase “You know what it is,” alongside repeated references to “black and yellow”—the signature colors of the Super Bee badge, which first appeared in 1968 and most recently returned on the 2023 Last Call editions.
Hurricane Inline-Six Expected Under the Hood
Instead of a traditional HEMI V8, the upcoming Charger Super Bee is expected to use Dodge’s new 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged Hurricane inline-six, shared with the upcoming Charger Sixpack models.
Expected performance figures include:
- Around 600 horsepower
- More than 719 Nm (530 lb-ft) of torque
- 0–60 mph in under 3.9 seconds
- Quarter-mile time of less than 12 seconds
Part of Dodge’s 60th Anniversary Celebration
The new Super Bee will headline a series of anniversary events planned by Dodge.
- Roadkill Nights takes place on August 7 along the legendary Woodward Avenue.
- The celebration continues with the Woodward Dream Cruise on August 15.
- Dodge will also participate in the NHRA Great Lakes Nationals in mid-September.
Dodge CEO Matt McAlear has also confirmed that the company will unveil the most powerful Charger Sixpack ever built, while hinting at additional product announcements from other Stellantis brands, including Ram and Chrysler.
