When a display stand at one of the world’s biggest auto shows turns into a destination where visitors line up for hours, it means something exceptional is happening. That was exactly the case with Zeekr, the premium electric brand under Geely Holding Group, at Auto China 2026. Zeekr’s stand was not just a place to showcase cars; it became a major attraction for international media, investors, and performance enthusiasts.
Zeekr 8X: A Beast In A Suit
The star of the show was the Zeekr 8X, a high-performance hybrid SUV built on the advanced SEA Super Hybrid architecture with an 800V platform. It introduces the Megawatt Tri-Motor E-Drive system, producing up to 1,030 kW and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.96 seconds, making it one of the quickest hybrid SUVs in the world.
This is where Zeekr’s philosophy becomes clear: extreme performance wrapped in refined luxury. The 8X is not trying to be loud for the sake of attention; it blends supercar-like acceleration with the presence and comfort expected from a flagship luxury SUV.
Zeekr 9X: Intelligence Meets Luxury
Alongside the 8X, Zeekr also presented the 9X with a different focus. It is not only about speed, but also about intelligence, comfort, and advanced chassis control. The SUV features dual-chamber air suspension, CCD electromagnetic dampers, and 48V active anti-roll bars to reduce body roll and deliver a more composed driving experience.
Its intelligent chassis can react in just 0.2 seconds and raise the vehicle by up to 80 mm depending on road conditions. Zeekr also placed strong emphasis on safety, using a highly rigid structure, active defense systems, and full redundancy for key vehicle systems.
A Complete Zeekr Lineup
Zeekr did not stop at its flagship SUVs. The brand also showcased a wider lineup that included the Zeekr 009 in executive and family versions, the Zeekr 7X luxury SUV, and the Zeekr 007 family, including standard and GT variants.
The company also highlighted its Centum technology ecosystem, which includes hybrid powertrain solutions, ultra-fast 6C charging batteries, and AI-powered autonomous driving technologies.
Zeekr In The UAE And Qatar
Since its launch in 2021, Zeekr has expanded quickly across global markets. In the Gulf, especially in the UAE and Qatar, the Zeekr 7X is already positioned as a premium option with features such as remote app control, a large AR-HUD display, and a 21-speaker audio system.
The Zeekr 8X is also expected to be a strong candidate for markets like Dubai and Doha as the brand continues its regional expansion.
