When Mercedes-Benz speaks, the whole auto world pays attention — and this time, the brand’s making a serious statement. The 2027 GLB is on the way, and it’s not just an update — it’s a total glow-up for one of Mercedes’ most loved compact SUVs.
Same Attitude, Whole New Vibe
On the outside, the GLB keeps its bold, boxy shape — that signature look that gives it presence and personality. But once you step inside, it’s a different story. The cabin has been completely redesigned, taking cues from the new CLA, and it’s dripping with next-gen tech and premium touches.
Front and center are three huge MBUX Superscreens stretching across the dash — one for the driver, one for the infotainment, and one for the front passenger. The digital cluster behind the wheel measures 10.25 inches, while the two main touchscreens come in at around 14 inches each. Lower trims skip the passenger screen, but the setup still feels high-end and futuristic.
Topping it off, there’s a Burmester sound system and a head-up display, bringing the same upscale vibe you’d expect in a top-tier Mercedes sedan.
The “Starry Sky” Roof That’ll Steal the Show
The real showstopper? The new panoramic sunroof that lights up like a starlit sky at night. You can even adjust the transparency — from clear to opaque — right from the infotainment screen. It’s pure Maybach-style luxury, now brought to the compact class.
More Space, More Flexibility
While some rivals are ditching seven-seaters, Mercedes isn’t backing down. The 2027 GLB still offers a third-row option, giving families that extra flexibility. The cabin’s been stretched to make more room for passengers, and the nearly flat roof means even taller folks can sit comfortably.
When you don’t need the third row, it folds completely flat into the floor, freeing up a ton of cargo space — practical and premium at the same time.
Power and Tech to Match
Mercedes hasn’t dropped full specs yet, but we already know what to expect under the hood. The GLB will share its engines with the next-gen CLA, including:
A 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder paired with a mild-hybrid system.
An eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Options for front-wheel drive or 4MATIC all-wheel drive.
And for those going electric, there will be fully EV versions — with better range and available all-wheel drive.
