Lexus has officially revealed the updated NX, giving us a full look at its design along with the key specifications for the latest version of the luxury crossover.
The new NX made its global debut on September 1, and Lexus says it will begin reaching international markets toward the end of this year.
New Lexus NX Specifications
The updated NX brings changes to its design, platform, hybrid powertrains, and interior, with Lexus focusing heavily on improving the way the SUV drives without sacrificing comfort or everyday usability.
The new model is built on a next generation platform and gets several structural upgrades aimed at improving body rigidity. Lexus strengthened the front radiator supports, improved the connections between key sections of the front structure, revised the cross member beneath the seats, added reinforcement around the rear wheel housings, and strengthened the rear section of the transmission tunnel.
The NX also gets a new generation of hybrid powertrains, along with updated electrification technology designed to improve efficiency and make longer journeys easier.
Visually, Lexus has kept the familiar character of the NX while refining both the exterior and interior. The SUV now measures 4.69 meters long, making it 30 mm longer than before. It is 1.865 meters wide and 1.66 meters tall, with a 2.69 meter wheelbase.
Inside, the cabin follows a cleaner and more horizontal layout. Lexus has also introduced a new feature called Sensory Concierge, allowing passengers to personalize the cabin atmosphere through lighting and fragrances.
Lexus NX 450h+ Plug In Hybrid
At the top of the electrified lineup is the NX 450h+ plug in hybrid, which combines a 2.5 liter four cylinder engine with all wheel drive.
Curb weight ranges between 2,050 and 2,130 kg, while total system output varies from 215 to 240 kW depending on the market. Lexus says the NX 450h+ can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds.
Electric driving range also varies depending on the testing standard. Lexus quotes more than 40 miles under the EPA cycle in North America, over 100 km under WLTP in Europe, and more than 140 km under WLTC in Japan.
Lexus NX 350h Hybrid
The NX 350h also uses a 2.5 liter four cylinder engine and can be ordered with either front wheel drive or all wheel drive.
All wheel drive versions weigh between 1,790 and 1,870 kg, while front wheel drive models range from 1,730 to 1,810 kg.
Total system output varies between 140 and 180 kW depending on the market, while the 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes between 7.1 and 7.8 seconds.
Lexus NX 300h Hybrid
The NX 300h uses a 2.0 liter four cylinder engine with front wheel drive.
It weighs between 1,690 and 1,750 kg, delivers a total system output of 145 kW, and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.2 seconds.
All versions use an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission and are available with either 235/60R18 or 235/50R20 tires.
Preliminary figures show that the combustion engine in the 2.5 liter versions produces between 100 and 135 kW, while the 2.0 liter engine produces 110 kW.
Lexus notes that the current power, performance, and range figures are still provisional because development is ongoing, and final specifications may differ depending on the market.
The new NX was developed under the theme DISCOVER YOUR EDGE, with Lexus aiming to preserve the balance between sporty driving and everyday practicality while pushing further into electrification, improving charging flexibility, and giving the cabin a more modern feel.
Lexus International Chief Engineer Kunihiko Endo said the team focused on creating a cleaner and simpler interior, improving performance through electrification, and giving passengers more ways to personalize the cabin through lighting and fragrance settings.
The NX first joined the Lexus lineup in 2014 as the brand’s first compact crossover. By the end of July 2026, global sales had reached around 1.9 million units across more than 90 countries and regions.
