Cadillac has officially confirmed the limited production of its ultra-luxury electric sedan, the Cadillac Celestiq, with only 250 units planned globally. Positioned as a direct challenger to the Rolls-Royce Spectre, this handcrafted masterpiece is Cadillac’s boldest entry yet into the elite world of high-end motoring.
With exclusivity on par with supercars like the upcoming Bugatti Tourbillon—also limited to 250 units—the Celestiq isn’t just Cadillac’s most expensive vehicle to date; it’s a declaration of intent. Priced at around $340,000 (1,275,000 SAR), this all-electric flagship is an expression of American craftsmanship and cutting-edge design, built to elevate Cadillac’s status among the world’s luxury leaders.
Heritage Meets Reinvention
Drawing inspiration from Cadillac’s innovative past—particularly the handcrafted 1957 Eldorado Brougham that once cost more than a Rolls-Royce—the Cadillac Celestiq symbolizes a new era for the brand. Manufactured at GM’s Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan, each vehicle is assembled with painstaking detail and bespoke precision. An $81 million investment supports this limited-run production, incorporating 115 3D-printed parts and six large body panels.
The Celestiq’s silhouette is that of a sleek fastback sedan, boasting a wheelbase longer than that of the Escalade, Cadillac’s largest SUV. The design pays tribute to mid-century modern architecture, particularly the work of Eero Saarinen, who also designed the GM Technical Center.
Technology is central to the Cadillac Celestiq experience. Its standout feature is a 55-inch QLED display stretching across the dashboard, complemented by five additional high-definition screens and an AKG 38-speaker audio system. The panoramic smart glass roof allows each passenger to adjust the transparency of their section independently, adding a personalized luxury feel. Rear-seat passengers are treated to reclining seats, entertainment screens, and fold-out tray tables.
Performance That Matches Presence
Underpinned by GM’s Ultium EV platform, the Celestiq uses dual electric motors to deliver an estimated 650 hp and 868 Nm of torque, reaching 0–60 mph in just 3.8 seconds. Its 111 kWh battery offers up to 300 miles (483 km) of range, while fast charging at 200 kW adds 125 km in only 10 minutes. Features like four-wheel steering, adaptive air suspension, and Magnetic Ride Control ensure dynamic handling despite its substantial weight of 2,858 kg.
A Personalized Luxury Journey
Every Cadillac Celestiq is made to order. Buyers work directly with a Cadillac representative to tailor their vehicle’s materials, finishes, and color schemes. From hand-stitched leather to custom paint and wood inlays, the ownership experience resembles commissioning a one-of-a-kind artwork.
With annual production expected to range between 100–150 units, and early allocations already claimed, the Cadillac Celestiq is more than just a luxury car—it’s a collector’s piece that marks a return to form for American ultra-premium craftsmanship in the electric era.
