Ram has unveiled its latest model, the 2025 Ram 1500, in the Middle East. It features a 3.0-liter Hurricane engine that boosts both power and fuel efficiency.
The 2025 Ram 1500 offers two engine options:
- A 3.0-liter Hurricane engine producing up to 420 horsepower and 635 Nm of torque.
- A high-performance 3.0-liter Hurricane H/O engine with twin turbochargers, delivering up to 540 horsepower and 706 Nm of torque, the most powerful engine in its class.
This vehicle boasts a towing capacity of 5,252 kg and a maximum payload of 1,043.2 kg. It can navigate waters up to 624 inches deep. The 2025 Ram 1500 lineup now includes the new Tungsten Performance model, joining the Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, and Limited.
In the fourth quarter of 2024, the Ram 1500 RHO with the Hurricane H/O engine will be added to the lineup, further strengthening Ram’s presence in the Middle East and Africa with top-tier off-road performance. In 2025, Ram will introduce the all-electric Ram 1500 REV, followed by the new Ram 1500 Charger, expanding their eco-friendly offerings. Manufactured in Sterling Heights, Michigan, the 2025 Ram 1500 is set to arrive in the Middle East in Q3 2024. The new Hurricane engines provide superior power, performance, and efficiency, available in both Standard Output and High Output variants. These engines, the most powerful V6s in their class, offer better fuel efficiency, lower emissions, and more power and torque than their naturally aspirated V8 and enhanced V6 counterparts. They are paired with the 2025 Ram 1500’s TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission, enhancing performance, smooth drivability, and fuel economy.
The Hurricane engine is primarily made of cast aluminum, with an aluminum-alloy oil pan. The High-Performance engine features steel bolt-on bearing caps and forged steel connecting rods to withstand the crankshaft’s powerful rotation. Surface grinding during manufacturing improves cylinder bore, contributing to better fuel efficiency.
Advanced technologies in these engines include:
- Two high-flow, low-inertia turbochargers optimized for quick throttle response.
- Plasma-transferred thermal spray coating of the cylinder bore, reducing frictional wear.
- High-pressure direct fuel injection (5,075 psi/350 bar).
- An integrated water-to-air charge cooler with a dedicated cooling circuit.
The 2025 Ram 1500 features an innovative rear axle delivering significant torque, enhancing performance, durability, and efficiency. It offers a four-wheel drive system with an open or limited-slip differential and an electronically locking rear differential.
