The highly anticipated 2025 Porsche 911 GT3, a legendary supercar, has officially been revealed ahead of its regional debut at the Porsche Icons Festival in Dubai, scheduled for November 23-24, 2024. Arab GT will be present at the event to cover the occasion.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the 911 GT3 continues to showcase remarkable performance both on the road and the racetrack. Porsche has employed an extensive strategy to reduce the vehicle’s weight, equipping it with a naturally aspirated 4-liter flat-six engine producing 510 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. Along with this, a variety of new options have been introduced, aimed at enhancing the customer experience.
The Weissach package, offered for the first time on the 911 GT3, brings even more features for track enthusiasts. Additionally, the sports car now comes with a broader array of standard features, while numerous optional packages further elevate its responsive, sporty character.
2025 Porsche 911 GT3: Sleek, Modern Design The new Porsche 911 GT3 models boast a refreshed design at both the front and rear, with improvements in aerodynamics. The newly redesigned front diffuser, complete with a reshaped wing and modified lower air intake bars, increases downforce and optimizes airflow. Matrix LED headlights, available with an optional white ring for the GT3, incorporate all necessary lighting functions. This eliminates the need for additional lights in the front bumper, creating more space for air intakes and lending the car a sleeker look.
At the rear, the 911 GT3 features an updated air diffuser, redesigned air intakes, and a revamped rear cover. The rear wing now has angled side panels, contributing to the car’s improved aerodynamics.
Porsche has also incorporated aerodynamic rear suspension arms with a waterdrop-shaped design for the double wishbones on the front axle, which enhance downforce and improve brake cooling. To maintain aerodynamic balance between the front and rear during high-speed braking, the suspension system was fine-tuned to reduce pitch (anti-dive). The lower rear arm’s front ball joint has been positioned lower on the front axle to facilitate these enhancements, with inspiration taken from the 911 GT3 RS.
Standard sports tires measuring 255/35 ZR 20 at the front and 315/30 ZR 21 at the rear ensure better traction on wet surfaces, with the option for road-legal track tires also available.
Price of the 2025 Porsche 911 GT3 The starting price of the 2025 Porsche 911 GT3 is $224,495, which is approximately 841,856 Saudi Riyals. This marks a notable increase compared to the starting price of the 2023 model, which was $171,500 (643,125 SAR).
Touring Package: A Customizable Option Porsche is expanding the customizability of the 911 GT3 by offering the popular Touring Package right from the car’s launch. This package, a tribute to the 1973 911 Carrera RS 2.7, has been available for GT3 models since 2017. On the new 911 GT3, the Touring Package eliminates the fixed rear wing, preserving the 911’s signature sleek design. It includes a deployable rear wing featuring the iconic Gurney flap and adaptive air vents in the lower body for aerodynamic balance. Inside the cabin, premium leather materials create a luxurious, sporty atmosphere. For the first time, the rear seat system is also available as part of the Touring Package, allowing customers to enjoy both thrilling performance and a more versatile interior setup.
Lightweight Design for Enhanced Agility Porsche has focused on reducing the weight of the 911 GT3 to improve handling and agility. The car features new lightweight aluminum wheels that are over 1.5 kilograms lighter than the previous version. Optional magnesium wheels, included in the Weissach or lightweight packages, can shave off an additional nine kilograms. Additionally, a 40 Ah lithium-ion battery reduces the car’s weight by another four kilograms. With all lightweight options selected, the 911 GT3 weighs in at just 1,420 kilograms.
Powertrain and Performance Under the hood, the 911 GT3’s 4.0-liter naturally aspirated engine complies with strict emission standards and is equipped with two dust filters and four catalytic converters. The engine benefits from enhanced cylinder heads, stronger camshafts (borrowed from the GT3 RS), and individual throttle valves, offering more dynamic performance at higher revs. The six-cylinder boxer engine delivers an impressive 375 kW (510 hp), with a power-to-weight ratio of 3.8 kg per kW (2.8 kg/hp) in the lightweight version.
Transmission options include a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic or a 6-speed manual with an eight percent lower gear ratio compared to previous models. The 2025 Porsche 911 GT3 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds with the automatic transmission, and achieves a top speed of 311 km/h (with the manual: 3.9 seconds; top speed: 313 km/h).
Innovative Seats and Interior Features The 911 GT3 is available with an innovative lightweight sports seat option featuring a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic shell and a folding backrest. This seat includes an integrated thorax airbag and is electrically adjustable in height, with manual fore and aft adjustment. For added comfort, especially for track use, part of the headrest padding can be removed to accommodate a helmet. The car also offers three-stage seat heating, and for the first time, the rear seat system can be added as part of the Touring Package.
The cockpit’s standard black two-seater design is inspired by the current 911 models, with some unique elements for the GT3. For example, the car is started using a rotary switch instead of a button. The dashboard features a digital instrument cluster with a clean, easily readable display, including a track mode that simplifies the information shown, highlighting essential data such as tire, oil, water, and fuel status.
Custom Equipment Packages Porsche has introduced several equipment packages for the 2025 911 GT3, including the Weissach package, designed for track performance. This package includes lightweight components made from carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP), such as the anti-roll bar, connecting rods, and rear axle protection plate. The roof, rear wing side panels, and mirror covers also feature CFRP. Inside, the Weissach package adds a luxurious touch with leather and Race-Tex materials.
For the 911 GT3 with Touring Package, the Lightweight Package includes a roof painted in the body color, lightweight magnesium wheels, and CFRP stabilizers and connecting rods. A special gear lever with the “Leichtbau” (lightweight) inscription is also included when opting for the six-speed manual transmission. For customers seeking a track-focused experience, the Club Sport package is available at no extra cost, featuring a fixed steel structure at the rear, a six-point harness, and a fire extinguisher.
Exclusive Chronograph Porsche Design has created a limited-edition chronograph specifically for owners of the 911 GT3 and GT3 Touring models. This watch, certified by the Swiss Official Testing Institute for Chronometers, features the WERK 01.200 flyback movement and a lightweight titanium case, designed to reflect the 911 GT3’s performance. The dial’s design echoes the car’s instrument cluster, and the rotating part is inspired by the GT3 wheels.
Both the 2025 Porsche 911 GT3 and the 911 GT3 Touring will be available to order starting at the end of the year.
