The standard Demon 170 was already one of the wildest factory muscle cars ever built, but for Hennessey, it simply wasn’t enough. After two years of development and anticipation, the Texas-based tuner has finally revealed the numbers behind its latest creation, and they are nothing short of insane.
Built to Humiliate Supercars
This isn’t just a modified Challenger. It’s a street-legal machine designed to dominate drag strips and embarrass cars costing several times more.
Here’s what the Demon 1700 delivers:
- 1,700 horsepower at the crank
- 1,355 horsepower at the rear wheels
- 1,630 Nm of torque at the wheels
To put that into perspective, the legendary Bugatti Chiron produces 1,600 Nm of torque at the crank. That means this Hennessey-built Demon is putting more torque to the pavement than the Chiron makes from its engine.
Twin-Turbo Power Takes Over
To reach those figures, Hennessey ditched the traditional supercharger setup and replaced it with a serious twin-turbo system.
