Shift Too Fast… and Your Lamborghini Revuelto Goes Blind

Imagine spending over $600,000 on Lamborghini’s latest masterpiece — the Revuelto, the bold hybrid successor to the Aventador — only to find out that being too quick with the gear selector can actually confuse the car.

It sounds unreal, but it’s true. Lamborghini has announced a very small recall for the Revuelto after discovering a strange software issue that can disable the rear-view camera under very specific circumstances.

A Little Too Much Enthusiasm

According to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the problem isn’t mechanical at all — it’s digital.

If the driver shifts into Reverse less than one second after starting or shutting off the engine, the car’s software may momentarily lose its bearings. The result? The rear camera simply doesn’t show up on the screen.

In other words, the Revuelto’s brain needs a brief moment to wake up — and rushing it can leave you reversing blind, which of course goes against federal safety regulations.

Only Seven Cars Worldwide (So Far)

The good news? This isn’t a widespread issue.

Only seven Revuelto models in the U.S. — from the 2024 and 2025 model years — are affected. Lamborghini identified the issue back in May and has already prepared a simple software update, which will be installed at authorized dealerships.

No hardware changes. No drama. Just a digital fix.

The Beast Remains Untamed

And let’s be clear — this minor software hiccup doesn’t take anything away from what the Revuelto truly is.

While those seven owners wait for their update, they still have access to one of the most extreme road cars ever built:

  • Engine: 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12

  • Hybrid setup: Three electric motors

  • Total output: 1,001 horsepower

  • Performance:

    • Top speed over 350 km/h

    • 0–100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds

A momentary camera glitch doesn’t change the fact that this is a technological monster.
