Rolls-Royce is continuing its foray into the electric vehicle market with bespoke versions of its first electric car, the Rolls-Royce Spectre 2024. Following the debut of the Spectre Semaphore at Monterey Car Week 2024, the luxury automaker has now introduced another exclusive creation, the Spectre Lunaflair.
Inspiration and Unique Design
The Rolls-Royce Spectre 2024 Lunaflair was custom-built for an anonymous American client and draws its name from the lunar halo—a colored ring of light that appears around the moon in specific conditions. Rolls-Royce also revealed that this unique car was inspired by the Phantom Centopia, unveiled in 2023, which featured an intricate iridescent paint finish resembling a moving palace.

Signature Color of the Rolls-Royce Spectre 2024 Lunaflair
Combining influences from both the Spectre Semaphore and the Phantom Centopia, the Spectre Lunaflair showcases a color-changing paint that delivers a stunning visual effect. Under bright sunlight, the car displays a rainbow-like shimmer, while in lower light, it transforms into a deep metallic shade. This remarkable paint took over a year to perfect and consists of seven layers of lacquer. One of these layers is a specially formulated pearlescent coat, infused with flakes of magnesium and aluminum fluoride, creating the car’s striking finish.
The interior design complements the exterior’s vibrant theme, featuring a palette of dark blue, white, and pink. This color scheme extends to the seat doors and the starlit roof, while the steering wheel boasts a sophisticated two-tone blue and white design.

Performance and Electric Specifications
Like other models in the Spectre lineup, the Lunaflair is powered by two electric motors—one at the front and the other at the rear—producing a combined 584 horsepower and 900 Newton meters of torque. The car’s all-wheel-drive system allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. It is equipped with a single-speed transmission that offers both forward and reverse movement.
Designed as a fully electric vehicle, the Rolls-Royce Spectre 2024 Lunaflair can travel up to 530 km on a single charge. Charging options vary to suit different needs: using a 195-kilowatt fast charger, the battery can be replenished from 10% to 80% in just 34 minutes. When utilizing a 50-kilowatt charger, the same process takes around 1 hour and 35 minutes. For slower charging with a 25-kilowatt charger, a full charge from 0% to 100% requires approximately 5.5 hours.

Exclusivity and Ownership
Rolls-Royce has made it clear that only one Spectre Lunaflair will be produced, and the exclusive paint developed for this model will remain reserved for its owner. In a move to maintain the car’s rarity, Rolls-Royce has stated that customers who sell their Spectre models shortly after purchase may face blacklisting, ensuring the Lunaflair’s unique status remains protected.

Pricing
While Rolls-Royce has not disclosed the specific price for the Spectre Lunaflair, the starting price for the base model of the 2024 Spectre is $422,750, equivalent to approximately 1,585,312 Saudi riyals. The cost of the Lunaflair is expected to be significantly higher, given its bespoke nature and exclusive features.
