Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility unveiled the all-new Polestar 4 SUV coupe at the C-Institute, a hub for sustainability education and research located in The Sustainable City, Dubai.
Marking a major achievement for Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility, the Polestar 4 is the fastest and most eco-friendly Polestar vehicle produced to date. This launch expands their Polestar lineup from one to three models, with the Polestar 2 and Polestar 4 now available in the UAE, and the Polestar 3 set to debut soon. The Swedish electric vehicle manufacturer continues to strengthen its presence in the UAE, offering eye-catching, unique, and environmentally friendly options for sustainable transportation.
Polestar 4 Design Features
Combining the elegance of a coupe with the spaciousness of an SUV, the Polestar 4 boasts a minimalist yet innovative Scandinavian design. Notably, it lacks a rear window, offering rear-seat passengers a unique, immersive experience. The vehicle’s headlights feature a bold, angular design, complemented by Polestar’s signature lighting.
The car is equipped with several aerodynamic enhancements, such as a low-profile front, flush retractable door handles, frameless integrated glass, rear aero blades, and improved airflow around the rear light bar to boost efficiency.
Performance and Mechanical Details
The Polestar 4 is available in two versions:
- Single-motor rear-wheel drive: It has an electric motor at the rear, producing 272 hp (276 PS) and 343 Nm of torque, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.1 seconds.
- Dual-motor all-wheel drive: This model features motors on both the front and rear axles, delivering a combined 544 hp and 686 Nm of torque, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.
The vehicle has a maximum range of up to 620 km on a single charge.
Commitment to Sustainability
As the most environmentally friendly Polestar model to date, the Polestar 4 has the brand’s lowest carbon footprint at launch. It is manufactured using renewable energy sources such as hydroelectric and solar power and incorporates materials like recycled aluminum, PET plastic, and mono-composite components.
The single-motor Long Range version has a carbon footprint of 19.9 tonnes of CO2e from production to delivery, while the dual-motor Long Range version has a footprint of 21.4 tonnes of CO2e. Polestar’s efforts to reduce emissions have been ongoing since the debut of the Polestar 2 in 2020. The Polestar 4’s single-motor Long Range variant demonstrates a 24% reduction in carbon footprint compared to the original Polestar 2.
The Polestar 4 is now available in the UAE through Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility.
