Kia has finally pulled the covers off the 2027 Telluride Hybrid, giving one of America’s favorite family SUVs a brand-new electrified heart. The reveal comes right after Kia showcased the next-generation Telluride lineup, and now the hybrid model steps in as the efficient sibling that mirrors Hyundai’s Palisade Hybrid 2026.
Since its debut in 2020, the Telluride has dominated the three-row SUV segment in the U.S., and the hybrid version is shaping up to be the most powerful and most efficient one yet. The public got its first look at the new model during the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show, where it impressed with a sharper design, more premium finishes, and an all-new drivetrain aimed at stronger performance with better gas mileage.
A More Assertive Design with Hints of Land Rover
The outgoing Telluride always had an adventurous charm, but the 2027 redesign pushes things even further. The grille is now wider and taller, stretching cleanly into the headlights.
Each trim gets its own personality:
• The SXP features a glossy black grille with vertical bars.
• The XRT goes more rugged with a mesh grille that drops down into the bumper.
The SUV’s silhouette is more powerful too, thanks to sharp triangular creases along the wheel arches, a broader hood, and a sleeker floating-roof design that blends into the tailgate. Chunky fender cladding adds a tough, off-road vibe reminiscent of modern Range Rovers. Vertical lights and new eight-spoke wheels finish the look, while the X-Pro adds orange tow hooks for that extra dose of attitude.
Bigger Dimensions, Bigger Space
Kia stretched the 2027 Telluride in all the right ways: a longer wheelbase, extra length overall, and noticeably more room behind every row.
Cargo space is where the SUV truly shines:
• 631.5 liters behind row three
• 1,311 liters with the third row folded
• A huge 2,461 liters with both rear rows down
These numbers make the Telluride one of the roomiest SUVs in its class.
A Cabin with Real Luxury Vibes
Inside, the Telluride feels like it’s moved a class up. Two 12.3-inch screens flow across the dashboard, supporting both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trims bring real wood, metal accents, dual-tone leather seats, and new mesh-style headrests that feel straight out of a luxury lounge.
New interior colors — Deep Navy, Blackberry, Tuscan Umber, and Sand Beige — give buyers more personality to choose from. The cabin now genuinely feels closer to what you’d expect from a European luxury SUV.
All-New Engines Including a Strong Hybrid
Kia drops the old 3.8-liter V6 and replaces it with two all-new powertrains:
2.5-Liter Turbo (Non-Hybrid)
274 hp, 422 Nm, 8-speed automatic, with available AWD. X-Pro trims add an electronic limited-slip differential.
2.5-Liter Hybrid
A combined 329 hp and 460 Nm, paired with a 6-speed automatic.
Fuel economy reaches up to 6.72 L/100 km, with an impressive estimated range of about 600 miles (965 km) on a full tank.
It’s stronger than before, noticeably more refined, and far more efficient.
Expected Pricing A Pleasant Surprise
Official pricing hasn’t been released, but early estimates suggest the 2027 Telluride Hybrid will start below $40,000, roughly 150,000 SAR — an aggressive price point for a three-row hybrid SUV with this level of size and equipment.
