Jeep has given its legendary Grand Cherokee a major update — one that blends familiar ruggedness with a sharper design, a smarter interior, and a brand-new turbocharged engine under the hood.
At first glance, the Grand Cherokee looks both familiar and fresh. The front fascia has been completely reworked, keeping the signature seven-slot grille that defines every Jeep, but now paired with slimmer, more sophisticated LED headlights. The rear bumper has been redesigned as well, completing the look with subtle new details and a trio of new paint colors — Copper Shino, Fathom Blue, and Steel Blue — that give the SUV a more premium and modern feel.
A Cabin That Feels All-New
Step inside, and you’ll notice Jeep has completely transformed the Grand Cherokee’s interior. The dashboard now centers around a large 12.3-inch touchscreen, replacing the older 8.4- and 10.1-inch displays. The new system feels faster, clearer, and far more intuitive.
The center console and controls have also been redesigned for a cleaner, more upscale look, while materials and finishing touches have been refined to give the cabin a true luxury edge.
Buyers can choose between three main trims — Laredo, Limited, and Summit — or go for the 4xe plug-in hybrid, which comes in Limited, Summit, and Trailhawk versions.
More Comfort, More Features
Even the base Laredo trim comes generously equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, chrome detailing, and a full suite of driver-assist systems — including automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-keeping assist.
Move up the range, and the Grand Cherokee starts to feel more like a luxury SUV. Higher trims bring a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a nine-speaker Alpine sound system or an optional 19-speaker McIntosh setup, plus heated, ventilated, and massaging seats trimmed in soft leather. It’s a cabin designed for long journeys and everyday comfort alike.
A New Turbo Era Begins
The biggest change lies beneath the hood. Jeep has introduced a new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with advanced Turbojet Ignition technology, producing 324 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. Despite its smaller size, this engine delivers impressive muscle — with a range of about 814 kilometers and a towing capacity of 2,812 kilograms.
For those who prefer something familiar, the tried-and-true 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 remains available, offering 293 horsepower. And for drivers who want the best of both worlds, the Grand Cherokee 4xe pairs the 2.0-liter turbo engine with a 17.3 kWh battery and an electric motor integrated into an 8-speed automatic gearbox, producing 375 horsepower and 637 Nm of torque.
It’s a clever mix of efficiency and performance — exactly what modern Jeep buyers are looking for.
Ready for Its Next Adventure
The 2026 Grand Cherokee is set to arrive in dealerships later this year, with Jeep expected to reveal full pricing and specs soon.
With this update, Jeep has done more than just refresh an icon — it’s redefined it. The Grand Cherokee now feels tougher, smarter, and more refined, proving that even after decades of dominance, there’s always room to evolve without losing what makes it truly special.
