Following the launch of the electric Cadillac Escalade IQ, the luxury automaker is revamping its gas-powered Escalade for 2025. This new model features an updated exterior, a substantial touchscreen, and continues to offer the Escalade-V for enthusiasts.
The design of the gas 2025 Cadillac Escalade closely mirrors its electric counterpart, drawing inspiration from the lighting elements of the IQ model and other Cadillac EVs such as the Celestiq and Lyriq. The vehicle boasts vertical headlights with LED accents at each corner of the bumper, an illuminated Cadillac crest on the hood, and illuminated grille surrounds on V-Series and higher trims.
For the first time, 24-inch wheels are available on the gas Escalade, while 22-inch wheels remain standard. New wheel options can be paired with fresh paint colors including Aegean Stone green, Deep Sea Metallic blue, and Latte Metallic light bronze.
Opening the new power-operated doors reveals a massive 55.0-inch display spanning the dashboard. The driver’s side includes a 35.0-inch display, while the front passenger enjoys a 20.0-inch touchscreen with video streaming capabilities. Standard features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, second-row passengers benefit from 12.6-inch touchscreens with the optional Executive Second Row package.
Under the hood, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade retains the 6.2-liter V-8 engine from the previous year, delivering 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. However, the 3.0-liter Duramax diesel engine is no longer available. The Escalade-V remains equipped with a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine, producing 682 horsepower and 683 pound-feet of torque.
The Escalade-V receives specific performance upgrades, including a more aggressive front fascia with a larger lower grille for improved cooling, and interior enhancements such as additional carbon fiber accents and Jet Black leather. Every trim level, except the base model, comes with the latest Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 with Air Ride adaptive suspension and standard Super Cruise.
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade-V will be available later this year, with pricing yet to be announced. The current 2024 Escalade starts at $112,690, including destination fees, and it is anticipated that the 2025 models will see a modest price increase.
