According to Brian Marano, Infiniti’s Director of Product Marketing, this upcoming model would be the first step toward bringing the spirit of the QX80 Track Spec concept to production. That concept shocked many enthusiasts when it appeared with 650 horsepower, and while the production version may not go that far, Marano confirmed that the changes will be clearly noticeable—even if they aren’t radical.
A Huge Leap In Power
The current Infiniti QX80 is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 producing 450 horsepower. The rumored performance version could raise that number dramatically.
Expected highlights include:
600 horsepower, a massive 150 hp increase over the standard model.
Aggressive styling upgrades, likely including 24-inch wheels, Red Sport or S badges, and large red brake calipers to emphasize its performance identity.

Naturally, more power and exclusivity will come at a price. Analysts expect the performance version to cost roughly 10 percent more than the standard model.
Since the 2026 QX80 starts at about $85,940, the high-performance version could land somewhere close to $95,000.
When Could It Arrive?
If the plan moves forward, the hotter QX80 variant could reach dealerships as early as spring 2027. More importantly, it would mark Infiniti’s attempt to step into the territory currently dominated by Mercedes-AMG and BMW M performance SUVs.
