Ford is once again under the spotlight. The American automaker has announced a massive recall affecting approximately 4.3 million vehicles across the United States, following the discovery of a software issue that could impact trailer brake performance and exterior lighting while towing.
According to reports, the defect is linked to the integrated trailer control module, which may lose communication with the vehicle during towing. If that happens, drivers could experience malfunctioning trailer brake lights, inactive turn signals, or reduced trailer braking efficiency — issues that directly relate to safety, especially under load.
