But when the Raptor badge enters the conversation, things move into a completely different league — one defined by extreme off-road performance and unmistakable attitude.
Now, one example of the legendary Ford F-150 Raptor has made its way to Europe. Yet while the truck itself is impressive, the real surprise is the price European buyers would have to pay to own it.
A Price That Turns Heads
In the United States, the F-150 Raptor starts at around $79,000, making it an expensive pickup but still relatively attainable for performance truck enthusiasts.
However, a new example listed by Hollmann International in Europe carries a staggering price tag of €135,422, which equals roughly $156,600. That’s nearly double the American price — a figure that instantly raises eyebrows.
Why Does It Cost So Much?
At first glance, the price seems outrageous. But several factors explain why this American off-road icon becomes so expensive once it crosses the Atlantic.
For starters, Ford doesn’t officially sell the F-150 Raptor across most European markets, meaning the truck must be imported individually. Importing a vehicle like this is both complex and costly.
Then come European taxes and emissions regulations, which heavily penalize vehicles equipped with large engines. Add compliance modifications required to meet Euro 6 emissions standards, and the price quickly climbs.
The specific truck offered for sale is finished in Shelter Green, paired with a premium Black Onyx interior, making it a fully equipped and carefully prepared example for European roads.
Raptor vs Raptor R The Performance Gap
It’s also important to distinguish between the two performance versions of Ford’s extreme pickup.
The Ford F-150 Raptor offered in Europe uses a 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 producing 450 horsepower and 691 Nm of torque, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 96 km/h in about 5.5 seconds — impressive for a full-size pickup.
But the real monster of the lineup is the Raptor R. This version packs a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 borrowed from the Mustang Shelby GT500, producing 720 horsepower and launching from 0 to 96 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. Performance figures like that place it surprisingly close to legendary supercars such as the Ferrari Enzo.
A Pickup That Doesn’t Forget Luxury
Despite its rugged personality, the European-market Raptor offers plenty of premium features to match its hefty price.
Inside, buyers get a Bang & Olufsen sound system, a Head-Up Display, and heated and ventilated leather seats with memory functions.
