Ferrari isn’t done refining its only SUV. For 2027, the Purosangue gets a new Handling Speciale package—an upgrade focused on making the driving experience sharper, more engaging, and closer to what you’d expect from a true Ferrari sports car.
From the start, the Purosangue stood apart thanks to its naturally aspirated V12 and advanced chassis setup. But Ferrari’s engineers clearly saw more potential. With the Handling Speciale, the goal isn’t to change the formula—it’s to fine-tune it.
The biggest upgrade comes from a revised suspension setup. Ferrari has recalibrated its active suspension system to reduce body movement by up to 10 percent. On the road, that translates into a car that feels tighter, more controlled, and more responsive to driver inputs—especially when pushing through corners. Importantly, Ferrari says these changes don’t come at the expense of comfort, meaning the Purosangue still works just as well as a daily driver.
The gearbox has also been reworked to feel quicker and more decisive, particularly in more aggressive driving modes like “Race” and ESC-Off. If you’re using manual mode, shifts become noticeably sharper at higher engine speeds, adding to the overall sense of involvement behind the wheel.
And of course, it wouldn’t be a Ferrari without emotion. The sound inside the cabin has been enhanced to better highlight the character of the V12 during startup and acceleration. The engine itself remains unchanged—a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 producing 715 horsepower—still paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive.
Visually, the changes are subtle but effective. New diamond-cut wheels, carbon-fiber fender shields, and matte black exhaust tips give the Handling Speciale a slightly more aggressive look. Around the back, the blacked-out Ferrari badge adds a unique touch, while inside, a small plaque reminds you this isn’t just a standard Purosangue.
Pricing hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, but expectations place it somewhere between $500,000 and $600,000. Availability is expected later in 2026.
In the end, this isn’t a radical overhaul—it’s a focused refinement. Ferrari is simply pushing the Purosangue closer to its core identity, making sure that even in SUV form, it still feels unmistakably like a Ferrari.
