Bugatti’s latest ultra-exclusive creation appears to have broken cover ahead of schedule. A full set of leaked images has revealed what is believed to be the Bugatti Destrier, a one-off hypercar that will reportedly join the brand’s elite Programme Solitaire collection.
The name “Destrier” traces its roots back to the powerful war horses ridden by medieval knights. Renowned for their strength, endurance, and imposing presence on the battlefield, they serve as a fitting inspiration for a Bugatti designed to celebrate one of the most iconic engines in automotive history.
A Final Tribute to the Legendary W16
The leaked images suggest the Destrier combines styling elements from the Chiron and Mistral, while borrowing the aggressive attitude of the track-focused Bolide to create a road-legal hypercar unlike anything else in Bugatti’s lineup.
Power is expected to come from the brand’s legendary 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16, producing an incredible 1,579 horsepower.
Perhaps even more telling is what the car doesn’t feature. There are no obvious design cues linking it to the recently introduced Tourbillon, fueling speculation that the Destrier was conceived as a final celebration of the W16 before Bugatti fully embraces its next generation of hybrid powertrains.
Once officially unveiled, the Destrier is expected to join Brouillard and FKP Hommage as one of the rare bespoke models created under Programme Solitaire.
A Cabin Designed Around the Driver
The interior follows the same philosophy, putting the driving experience ahead of digital excess.
Deeply sculpted bucket seats trimmed in premium materials feature Destrier embroidery on the headrests and are secured by five-point racing harnesses, reinforcing the car’s motorsport-inspired character.
The cockpit is dominated by a distinctive Flying Yoke steering wheel, paired with a single digital display that combines vehicle information and infotainment into one clean interface.
Instead of relying on a large center touchscreen, Bugatti has taken a refreshingly traditional approach. The center console is finished in exposed metal and fitted with physical switches, the engine start control, and four circular air vents inspired by the hypercar’s signature quad-exhaust arrangement.
