The Bugatti Bolide, the ultimate iteration of the Bugatti Chiron, stands as a rare masterpiece, limited to a global production of 40 units and boasting a staggering price tag of $4.7 million, solidifying its position among the most exorbitantly priced new cars in existence. While every unit of this distinctive vehicle has been swiftly claimed, those fortunate enough to secure a production slot are treated to an opulent interior that complements its audacious exterior.

Bugatti offers a sneak peek into the Bolide’s production specifications, revealing a sumptuous interior design reminiscent of an aircraft cockpit. The cabin features what Bugatti terms an “X-shaped” steering wheel, mirroring the distinctive design of the taillights. The digital instrument panel delivers crucial readings, including lap times and G-Force data.

Within the cabin, attention is drawn to the four “exhaust” pipes emerging from the dashboard flanking the console; however, these serve as air conditioning vents, a nod to the car’s rear-end design. The center console houses essential function buttons, prominently featuring two large red buttons labeled “Stop” and “Fire.”

To maintain a low weight, sports seats are directly affixed to the car’s body, offering owners a choice of four seat sizes based on their body type. In a departure from the norm, the steering wheel and pedals are adjustable instead of the seats.

Blue Alcantara dominates the cabin, enveloping the driver and passenger along the door sills. Exposed carbon fiber is a prominent feature, particularly on the center console, dashboard, and sections of the door panel.

Ensuring safety on the track, the Bolide incorporates a fire suppression system, six-point seat belts, the HANS head and neck safety system, and door frame-mounted head restraints functioning as a structural component. Bugatti highlights the durability of the 3D-printed aluminum head restraint brackets, weighing just under half a pound while withstanding loads exceeding 1,500 pounds.

As the ultimate evolution of the Bugatti Chiron, the Bolide retains Bugatti’s renowned 8.0-liter W-16 quad-turbocharged engine. Tuned for track prowess, the engine churns out 1,578 horsepower on 98 octane fuel, with the capability to run on 110 octane racing fuel, elevating power to an astounding 1,824 horsepower. Designed exclusively for track usage, all four turbochargers operate continuously, and the engine is calibrated to a higher rev compared to its road-focused Bugatti counterparts.

Connecting to an advanced version of the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission found in road cars, the Bolide employs a four-wheel-drive system for unparalleled performance on the track.
