Audi is giving its A5 sedan and Q5 SUV a thoughtful refresh for the 2026 model year in the U.S., focusing less on visual drama and more on making daily life behind the wheel smoother, smarter, and less distracting.
Both models now feature Audi’s updated Digital Stage cockpit, built around a familiar three-screen layout. The design remains largely the same, but the experience is noticeably improved: cleaner menus, larger graphics, and a more logical layout that’s easier to navigate while driving. It’s a quiet but meaningful evolution that prioritizes clarity over complexity.
The digital instrument cluster gains new display modes, along with deeper smartphone integration that allows key apps to appear directly in front of the driver. Even the front passenger gets more freedom, thanks to an updated secondary screen that can connect to a dedicated Bluetooth headset, allowing media playback without interfering with the driver’s focus.
One of the most welcome changes is the new four-spoke steering wheel. Audi still leans on touch-sensitive controls—something many drivers have criticized—but the addition of physical scroll wheels finally brings back a sense of tactile control, making everyday interactions far less frustrating.
On the equipment front, the A5 can be optioned with an S Sport suspension, a Bang & Olufsen sound system integrated into the headrests, and a blacked-out S line package with 19-inch wheels. The Q5 receives a similar treatment, stepping up to 20-inch wheels and extra dark exterior accents for a sportier presence.
Audi also adds a factory-installed front dashcam, neatly tucked below the interior mirror and fully integrated into the infotainment system, with footage stored on an SD card. Meanwhile, the upgraded Park Assist Pro system can now steer the car autonomously while reversing for up to 50 meters, with the ability to save and replay up to five custom parking maneuvers—particularly useful in tight or private spaces.
The 2026 Audi A5 and Q5 are set to reach dealerships in the first quarter of the year. Pricing starts at $50,200 for the A5 and $52,800 for the Q5, reflecting modest increases over the previous model year.
