In a surprising move that reflects shifting dynamics in the EV market, Tesla has officially begun selling pre-owned Cybertrucks directly through its website and official stores across the United States.
The real surprise isn’t just that used Cybertrucks are now available, but how much their prices have dropped. Buyers can now get behind the wheel of Tesla’s futuristic, sci-fi-inspired truck for less than $67,000.
Used Cybertrucks Officially Arrive With Major Discounts
A Fully Loaded Cybertruck for Less Than a New One
A look at Tesla’s official used inventory reveals deals that seem almost unbelievable compared to the launch prices seen in 2024.
The cheapest example currently listed is a 2024 Tesla Cybertruck AWD Foundation Series with just 2,566 miles (4,130 km) on the odometer. It is priced at $66,200, making it one of the most attractive Cybertruck deals yet.
Why is it such a bargain?
A brand-new Dual Motor AWD Cybertruck currently starts at $69,990 before destination fees. However, the standard version lacks several premium features that came included with the Foundation Series, such as adaptive air suspension, heated rear seats, a rear passenger touchscreen, ventilated front seats, and a premium audio system.
In other words, buyers can get a better-equipped truck for less money by choosing a lightly used Foundation Series model.
Cyberbeast Models Are Also Getting Cheaper
The discounts aren’t limited to standard versions.
Performance enthusiasts can now find used 2025 Cyberbeast models at reduced prices. One example with 5,256 miles is listed for $94,800, compared to a starting MSRP of $99,990 for a new Cyberbeast with an estimated range of 320 miles.
The Hidden Catch
While the lower prices are appealing, Tesla has quietly removed one major benefit that originally came with Foundation Series trucks.
The FSD Trap
When Tesla launched the Foundation Series in 2024, it included lifetime access to Full Self-Driving (FSD Supervised) for the original owner. However, when Tesla resells these vehicles through its certified used program, that benefit does not transfer.
Instead, the new owner receives only a three-month free trial of FSD on Foundation Series models, or one month on standard models. After the trial ends, owners must pay $99 per month to continue using the service.
Additional Benefits for Used Buyers
To make pre-owned Cybertrucks more attractive, Tesla includes several perks:
- Remaining factory warranty transfers to the new owner.
- An additional used vehicle warranty covering one year or 10,000 miles (16,000 km) after the original warranty expires.
- Three months of free Supercharging for used Foundation Series models.
- Three months of Premium Connectivity service.
- Home delivery to Tesla delivery centers across the United States for shipping fees ranging from $500 to $2,500, depending on distance.
Why Is Tesla Doing This?
Tesla’s entry into the used Cybertruck market comes after the company dropped its strict anti-resale policy that previously restricted owners from quickly flipping their trucks.
At the same time, slowing demand across the electric vehicle market appears to have pushed Tesla toward taking greater control of pricing, moving inventory more aggressively, and reigniting consumer interest through attractive certified pre-owned offers.
