In Milan — the world’s capital of design and creativity — Audi revealed the Concept C, a two-seat all-electric roadster that represents a bold new chapter in its history. ArabGT’s Suhaib Shsha was there to witness the global debut, bringing our audience closer to this milestone moment.
The Concept C is more than just a show car. It embodies Audi’s new philosophy of “Strive for Clarity,” a design direction focused on radical simplicity, precision, and emotion. CEO Gernot Döllner explained that the brand is stripping away unnecessary elements to create cars that are both beautiful and meaningful, while Design Director Massimo Farsella described it as “radical simplicity.”
A Roadster That Redefines Audi’s Face
The Concept C introduces a striking vertical frame at the front — inspired by the Auto Union Type C racer and the third-generation Audi A6 — that anchors the entire design. With a central battery layout, the cabin is pushed rearward, giving the car a muscular stance. For the first time in an Audi roadster, an electrically retractable hardtop is featured, combining coupé elegance with true open-air driving.
Clean surfaces and strong lines define the body, while a Titanium paint finish adds both warmth and technical elegance. Lighting also plays a starring role: each headlamp and taillight carries a four-element signature, a new identity that will make future Audis instantly recognizable.
Inside: Geometric Logic and Shy Tech
The interior reflects Audi’s vision of geometric logic — uncluttered, purposeful, and emotionally engaging. Strong surfaces, refined details, and carefully chosen materials create an atmosphere that feels sophisticated yet welcoming.
Physical controls in anodized aluminum deliver the signature “Audi click,” while the steering wheel, with real metal rings, embodies both precision and craftsmanship. A 10.4-inch foldable display provides information only when needed, supported by intuitive haptic controls — an approach Audi calls “shy tech.”
Dimensions and Presence
Measuring 4.52 meters long, 1.97 meters wide, and 1.28 meters high, with a 2.57-meter wheelbase and rear-wheel drive, the Concept C balances agility with presence. Weighing 1,690 kg, it sits firmly between a luxury sports car and a practical roadster.
More Than a Concept
Audi emphasized that this new design philosophy will shape not just cars, but the company’s entire approach — from product development to partnerships, including its software collaboration with Rivian. The Concept C previews a production model and sets the tone for Audi’s lineup in the coming decade.
As Suhaib Shsha witnessed in Milan, this unveiling was more than a debut — it was the start of a new era for the four rings.
