Ram has officially opened order books for the all new 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT, bringing back its high performance off road pickup with a clear target in sight: the Ford F-150 Raptor R.
Set to arrive in dealerships this summer, the new TRX combines more horsepower, more torque, and a significantly lower starting price than its closest rival.
More Power Than The Raptor R
Under the hood, the 2027 TRX SRT packs a supercharged 6.2 liter HEMI V8 producing 777 horsepower and 921 Nm of torque.
That gives it a healthy advantage over the Ford F-150 Raptor R, which uses a supercharged 5.2 liter V8 delivering 720 horsepower and 868 Nm.
Power is sent through an eight speed automatic transmission and a standard four wheel drive system, helping the truck sprint from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds. Top speed is rated at 190 km/h, making it one of the fastest trucks in its class.
A Lower Price Tag
Ram is also undercutting Ford on price.
The 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT starts at $99,995 before destination charges, while the Ford F-150 Raptor R starts at $110,930. That gives Ram an advantage of nearly $11,000 before options are added.
Built For Serious Off Road Duty
The TRX isn’t just about straight line performance.
Ram has equipped the truck with forged aluminum control arms, Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive dampers, an electronic locking rear differential, and 35 inch off road tires wrapped around 18 inch wheels.
The Crew Cab body features a widebody design with composite body panels, a functional performance hood, powder coated bumpers, and a dual exhaust system with massive 5 inch outlets.
Luxury Meets Desert Runner
Inside, the TRX delivers a surprisingly upscale experience.
The cabin features premium Natura Plus leather seats with suede inserts, along with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Drivers also get a 12.3 inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.5 inch infotainment display, and a 19 speaker Harman Kardon sound system.
Additional highlights include a dual pane panoramic sunroof and dual wireless phone chargers.
Driver assistance technology comes standard, including hands free driving assist, adaptive cruise control, a head up display, and blind spot monitoring that also covers trailer towing.
Bloodshot Night Edition
For buyers looking for something even more aggressive, Ram is offering the optional Bloodshot Night Edition package.
Priced at $9,995, it adds a black and red exterior theme, unique graphics, beadlock capable wheels with matte titanium rings, carbon fiber interior trim with red accents, and exclusive TRX badging.
