Hyundai has unveiled the new-generation 2026 Palisade, continuing its legacy as a spacious 3-row family SUV in the Korean market. This latest iteration now boasts an impressive capacity to seat up to 9 passengers, enhancing its appeal for large families and group travelers.

A Dramatic Redesign for the 2026 Hyundai Palisade

As expected from Hyundai and its sister brand Kia, the new generation of the Palisade features a complete design overhaul, marking a significant departure from its predecessor. This full-size SUV now showcases a boxier, more commanding silhouette and rolls on striking 21-inch wheels, giving it a confident road presence.

Distinctive Exterior with Pixel-Inspired Lighting

The 2026 Palisade features segmented lights on both the front and rear, reminiscent of Hyundai’s pixel-themed lighting design seen in their electric vehicle lineup, such as the newly revealed Ioniq 9. The front fascia is dominated by large rectangular daytime running lights positioned on either side of the massive grille. Below these DRLs, four smaller rectangles are assumed to house the primary low and high beam headlights. Completing the modern aesthetic, a slim LED strip spans the top section of the grille, adding a sleek touch.

Hyundai has hinted at subtle changes in the vehicle’s dimensions, such as a shorter front overhang and an extended wheelbase compared to the previous model’s 2,900 mm. These adjustments aim to enhance interior space and driving stability. A dual sunroof remains an option, likely reserved for higher trim levels.

The design is now cleaner and more refined. The exhaust is discreetly tucked beneath the bumper, and the rear wiper is cleverly hidden under the roof spoiler. Interestingly, the taillights—mirroring the design of the front DRLs—do not extend onto the tailgate, which is a departure from typical Hyundai styling. Although the HTRAC all-wheel-drive badge is absent from the exterior, it is almost certain that AWD will be available for this new Palisade generation.

Refined and Tech-Loaded Interior

Inside, the 2026 Hyundai Palisade features a tech-forward cabin designed for comfort and functionality. It houses dual 12.3-inch screens integrated into the dashboard, offering a seamless digital experience. Despite this modern tech setup, Hyundai has retained a wide array of physical buttons for essential functions, including climate control and multimedia settings. The gear selector has been relocated from the center console to a steering column-mounted shifter, freeing up additional space.

Family-friendly features take center stage, including 100-watt USB-C charging ports, ample cup holders, and a versatile wireless charging pad. The redesigned cabin can now accommodate up to 9 passengers, thanks to a reimagined front-row center console that doubles as a middle seat. However, this 9-seat configuration is not visible in Hyundai’s official images, and it remains uncertain if it will be offered outside the Korean market.

Modern Touches and Ambiance

The steering wheel of the 2026 Palisade no longer bears Hyundai’s traditional “H” logo. Instead, it features four dots symbolizing the letter “H,” a design element borrowed from the upcoming 2025 Santa Fe. Subtle ambient lighting enhances the cabin’s atmosphere, contributing to a more relaxing and sophisticated experience for passengers.

Anticipated Mechanical Specifications

While Hyundai has not yet released full mechanical specifications, industry insiders speculate that the 2026 Palisade will come equipped with a hybrid powertrain. More comprehensive details about performance, efficiency, and available powertrains are expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

The new-generation Hyundai Palisade promises to set a new benchmark for full-size family SUVs, combining bold design, advanced technology, and family-oriented features. As Hyundai continues to innovate, the 2026 Palisade stands ready to meet the needs of modern families and adventurous drivers alike.
