2025 Ram HD Truck Unveiled with a Tougher, More Aggressive Look

2025 Ram HD Truck Unveiled with a Tougher, More Aggressive Look

The 2025 Ram HD is gearing up for its debut with a bolder, more aggressive look, as revealed by the first official teaser images ahead of its full launch.

Following in the footsteps of the Ram 1500, which received a significant refresh for 2025, the Ram Heavy Duty (HD) series is also set to get a major update. While full details remain under wraps, Ram has been conducting final road tests with uncamouflaged prototypes, prompting the company to share some teaser images that give us a glimpse of the exterior changes.

2025 Ram HD’s Bold New Look

Despite the updates, fans of the Ram HD don’t need to worry about drastic changes to its hefty, imposing design. The truck continues to feature an oversized front grille, although it’s been revised with a more pronounced cut at the bottom. The new headlights, which vary by trim level, showcase a split design with either black or body-colored accents separating the upper and lower sections.

At the back, we see the introduction of redesigned taillights, with the Ram 2500 Rebel being the only model teased from the rear in this batch of images. This is the most noticeable change we can spot in the back.

Under the Hood and Performance Specs

What remains a mystery are the changes under the hood. The only confirmed detail is that the diesel engine from Cummins will remain in the lineup, as indicated by the Cummins logos visible in the teaser images of the red and blue trucks. The white truck in the middle appears to be a base-level Tradesman, recognizable by its plain gray front.

Although no engine badges are visible, it wouldn’t be surprising if the 6.4-liter Hemi V8 remains part of the engine options. In the current model, this engine delivers 410 horsepower and 582 Nm of torque.

However, the Hurricane I-6 engine, which is now standard, outperforms the Hemi in several areas, offering 420 horsepower and 636 Nm of torque. For those seeking even more power, the high-performance version of the Hurricane engine cranks out an impressive 540 horsepower. That said, Ram truck buyers have long been loyal to the V8 engine. As the Hemi V8 exits the Ram 1500 lineup, keeping it in the 2025 Ram HD could help maintain the brand’s loyal customer base who prefer V8 power in their trucks.

Ram has confirmed that the full reveal of the 2025 Heavy Duty lineup will take place before the end of this year.
